I’ve been in your boat. Researching. Having a vision in mind. Probably with a certain style and editing I prefer but want to choose the right person to take those photos. BEEN there. There are so many choices for photographers, so I want to thank you for considering me and stopping by!
A quick intro about me:
My name is Josie and I’m located in Austin, TX, although I travel all over! My family recently moved to the Austin area from Dallas, but I’m also in DFW frequently. I’m a 29-year-old full time mom to two boys and a love for photography. And I mean LOVE. After shooting a session, I get all my other responsibilities done as quick as I can so I can sit down, pick out images and create magic. That’s my favorite part — watching an image come to life through my personal touch and artistic ability.
I got my first camera as a Christmas present in 2011 and started snapping away. I was at a boarding school in Idaho, so you can imagine the excitement and eagerness to really capture all that scenery! When I graduated I continued practicing, learning and developing a passion with every day life shots. You name it. Cats. Cigarette butts. Rain water in the street. Friends. Family. Babies. Dogs. Leaves. Trees.
Since then I’ve learned even more, improved and continue to build upon the style I’ve been aiming to achieve. I love it just as much as I did that first day I clicked the shutter button in 2011.
If you know me then you’re familiar with the fun I like to have. I’m loud. I laugh a lot. I say off the wall stuff. But most importantly I make YOU laugh. A good skill to have as a photographer, don’t cha think? If you don’t know that about me, now you do and I hope I get the opportunity to set your mind at ease about being in front of the camera through my personality and ability to make any awkward situation comfortable.
I’ll guide you through poses with directions, entertaining prompts and make it a fun experience to remember!
